包括一名内塔尼亚胡助手在内的三名消息人士透露了上述消息。在这场内阁会议上，内塔尼亚胡还提到了他2015年3月在国会发表的讲话，当时他表示反对美国前总统奥巴马与伊朗达成核协议。

内塔尼亚胡的一名助手回忆说，内塔尼亚胡还告诉内阁成员，他知道如何反击美国的压力，如有必要，他会再次这样做。内塔尼亚胡还称，“当我们的安全受到威胁时，我们将不惜一切代价”。

拜登8日首次表态称，如果内塔尼亚胡下令大规模进攻加沙地带南部城市拉法，他将叫停美国向以色列军队供应部分武器。此外，拜登还罕见承认美国武器被用来杀害加沙平民。

此外，一名美国高级官员透露，拜登和其他美国高级官员最近多次私下告诉内塔尼亚胡，如果他们继续推动入侵拉法，美国真的会采取措施取消军事援助。

美国和以色列高级官员表示，拜登及其亲密顾问与内塔尼亚胡和德默之间存在很深的不信任，特别是在军事进攻拉法的问题上。

一名以色列高级官员表示，过去两周，拜登团队与以色列政府就拉法问题进行的大部分接触都是通过以色列其他渠道进行的，例如国防部长约夫·加兰特。

以色列高级官员称，加兰特定期与美国国务卿布林肯、国家安全顾问沙利文等官员交流，加兰特正试图对拉法行动进行调整，“以尽量减少与拜登政府的摩擦”。

美国有线电视新闻网（CNN）13日援引美国政府高官的话称，以色列已在拉法地带边境地区集结了足够的部队，可以在未来几天发动全面入侵，但目前尚不清楚以色列是否已就此作出最终决定。

五 | 与此同时，美国常务副国务卿库尔特·坎贝尔（Kurt Campbell）表示，美国不认为以色列能够在这场冲突中“完全战胜”巴勒斯坦伊斯兰抵抗运动（哈马斯）。

Axios报道认为，到目前为止，加兰特的努力似乎正在发挥作用。美国官员称，以色列军队正在拉法有针对性地开展行动，但没有大规模地面入侵。

另一名以色列高级官员表示，尽管拜登发出了威胁，但美国的其他武器运输仍在继续，一批重要的美国货物预计将于本周运往以色列。
